ESRA will make use of the various user facilities both at partner national labs and across the ecosystem. This includes use of synchrotron facilities (Argonne’s Advanced Photon Source and the Berkeley Lab’s Advanced Light Source), nanocenters (Argonne’s Center for Nanoscale Materials and Berkeley Lab’s Molecular Foundry), and the Environmental Molecular Science Lab at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). ESRA has integrated scientists from many of these facilities into its research efforts to ensure seamless collaboration.
Other energy storage connections that ESRA will be working with include the Innovation Center for Battery500 Consortium and Grid Storage Launchpad, both at PNNL.
